According to a recent survey of 2,035 American adults, half of parents with children under 18 years old believe their children's mental health has been negatively impacted by social media use on platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. The survey also found that social media use among teenagers has drastically increased over the past two decades, with 95% of teenagers admitting to using social media in 2022, and it comes at a time when legislation has been introduced across states to reduce teen activity on these platforms.
