I really like the shift from “How much screen time?” to “What is the screen replacing in offline life?” I’d just add one thing: it’s not only about individual or family psychology, but also about context. If cities, schools, work schedules, and social spaces make it hard to meet, play, do sports, or pursue hobbies, the digital world naturally becomes more attractive.
